Pushing through
Took Kyro for quick walk after breakfast. We had a vet appointment to register him and get flea treatment and worming tablets.
I took Kyro on the bus which is probably his first time. He was very good staying close and me holding on to him when the bus swung round corners. It was warm on the bus. A toddler girl in a buggy was a bit frightened of him. I said he was gentle but also asked Kyro to 'leave' and he listened and didn't trouble the child.
At the vet surgery he was welcomed by all the receptionists. One nurse was in tears as she had recently lost her greyhound. We waxed lyrical about having a greyhound.
George the vet was equally smitten as Kyro rested his head on George's arm while he was listening to his heart. He was offered a treat and accepted it. My previous two greyhounds always refused vet treats.
Kyro was good on our return bus journey. Both he and I were glad to be walking outside as the bus was warm.
I was very proud of how he behaved. We were both thirsty when we arrived home.
The day has been changeable. This morning it was very sunny and warm. I changed my long sleeved t-shirt and raincoat for short sleeves and a light denim shirt as a jacket. By the afternoon I'd changed back again. This evening is starting to feel chilly again.
Pleasant evening everyone.
