A Rest Day..

So, yesterday it was supposed to rain but never did...today it was NOT supposed to rain and it did..on and off all day long...which was disappointing but not really an issue as we had not planned any excursions anyway - just a jaunt to town to get a baguette and some pastry treats and maybe a few groceries, perhaps a bit of sketching out in the sunshine, and, of course, a load of laundry which we had been putting off for too long...  We were going to make the most of a day without rain, but do it at home...and rest up. 

The best laid plans and all...

The bakery was closed - always on Mondays it seems -  drat! Not a pencil hit paper in the great rainy outdoors and the laundry never did dry. But much napping ensued, so all was not lost. We rested.

In the evening, the skies finally cleared, so I went out for a walk along the lane and also took some more photos of our temporary "home" to round out my collection for the vacation photo book that I have started working on; they were the only photos I took all day - so they had to be my blip.

Looking forward to tomorrow ....we have big plans....heh heh...let's see how that works out!
