Sandbanks chain ferry

Our sojourn on the Jurassic coast came to an end today. We left the Isle of Purbeck by chain ferry aka a floating bridge. The last time I crossed these narrows at the entrance to Poole Harbour was at right angles to these chains with Brittany Ferries returning from Cherbourg. When we got home late this afternoon we were amazed to see how much the garden had burgeoned in our absence.
