Cigs

By Cigs

Wind back a bit. Last weeks new-to-me find was one of two within 100 metres of each other. Its a street I've walked down a time or two, for no other reason than its quieter when walking with the hound. However, I hadn't walked up the street and that's when I spotted the two new ones. So -spoiler alert- there's another Cigs that'll be ready rolled be ready to roll just shortly.

Onto Monday. I was in and around Leith Links. And I got thinking .... there's a whole trail of small Cigs in a white pen. And if you plot them all together they run from the junction of Constitution St, along Mitchell St, up Pattinson St, across to the Old pavilion on the NE Corner of the Links and there were a bunch on Vanburgh Place / Hermitage Place before the trail goes cold at the start of the cycle path at the bottom of Easter Road*.

My other consideration is that the blip elves advised me I'm now 3 off a landmark. So with a couple more finds, I can reach that milestone. Oooooh!

Not only was I thinking on Monday morning, I was in the aforementioned area with time on my hands ( Mr McIntyre wassnae answering his door- I suspect he was out walking the dog)

Enter the Devil / Idle Hands thingy. I set off to Mitchell St  and scoured the trail described above. Hey, it was sunny, my next appointment wasn't for another 20 minutes- and there's only so much of Poppy's Greek coffee you can take from Qupi in one day.

Nothing, nothing nothing.  Oh well, I thought, it was worth a try and as I went to my 1030, I walked past this! And. On the very same box is another one. Sakes!

I gave myself a good talking to; I mean how could I have overlooked these for so long? My annual appraisal is due soon and this kind of thing won't go down well.

Anyway. Silver pen on telecoms box, dated 2014. That's nearly 10 years ago.

IaincurrentlynotatCreel was unavailable for comment. Something about the Tyndrum Whisky Shop. The message was a little garbled.

*its worth noting my thanks to Meles  and DaveH her team for spotting quite a few of these Mitchell St / Pattison St ones and also KitchenSpy for the Hermitage Place ones... blip is truly a wonderful place.
