Lady of the Lake
The Stewart Memorial Fountain in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow's West End.
A plaque on the ground reads
The Stewart Memorial Fountain commemorates the building of the Loch Katrine Water System in the 1850s. It was commissioned by the Glasgow City Council in 1872 at a cost of £2000 and is named in honour of Robert Stewart of Murdostoun, the Provost of 1854.
The fountain was designed by James Sellars who based the theme of the sculptures on Sir Walter Scott's poem "Lady of the Lake"
