Onwards and Upwards

This is the title of this carved 'totem pole' in the local park. I know it is the rear view but the lighting was all wrong to get a picture from the front.
Originally there was a a carved trunk of a tree which had been blown down in the '87 gales. It was unpainted and I felt much more natural than this one which replaced it a few years ago.
Went for a lovely walk in the sunshine with a friend and we then went for an Indian meal which was most enjoyable.
