Blipping in the Botanics

Found @MReid and her husband at the East gate of the Botanic Gardens. We wandered the garden, found some grand trees in early leaf, blossom, and the meconopsis baileyi - remarkably blue poppies. Good conversation over tea and coffee in the West gate cafe.

I hadn't known they were coming; the email had gone to spam. This is the second time that's happened. Note to self .. check spam folder on the evening before and in the morning before Blipmeet. 

Back by the auction house; the carpet that looked interesting in the catalog has a muddy green background, not the colour in the pictures. 
A walk in the afternoon by the very West end of Queen Street gardens, Charlotte Square, Rose Street and the East Queen Street garden.
