Sunburst

Carl dropped me off for today's music session. Just three of us including the host today, but a really good session all the same. I spotted this sunburst carving on the wall in the bathroom.

Carl picked me up afterwards, we stopped off at Fitzpatrick's Killiney Castle hotel for liquid refreshment and then he took me to the DART. That's two says in succession that I've traveled this way. It's been a while. One good thing is that there are direction boards on display on the platforms now. It's a shame that there's nothing to tell you before getting to the platform which direction the trains are going in.

Also, both yesterday and today there were problems with the progress indicators. There was a new style of display in yesterday's train, but they weren't functioning properly. Today's train had the older scrolling style, but they were switched off.

Despite those irritations, it was good to get out of the house. A change of scenery is always welcome.
