Our Big Day

Luther Vandross - Never Too Much

You never understand until you experience it for yourself. A tremendous day for us with a lot of preparation, anxiety, energy and love put into it. We are grateful for the love, support and guidance we received. Everything went through so smoothly... and with all that work, the day was like a dream. It was so surreal. 

My parents and sister came all the way from Australia to celebrate and we were so glad they could finally meet my wife's family and our friends. They got along really well but somehow, the fact that these two very different world are now here is mind-blowing. Friends and family from Tokyo came as well. 

Every moment was bathed in memories of our times together and happiness for the now. The food, delicious, the music from DJ TK, on point, the staff, friendly and always attentive, the photographer, a hit with everyone. 

I delayed putting this up on Blipfoto simply because it required a sit-down instead of the "on-the-train/commute" entry, because, well, it's our wedding! It was hard to choose just one photo and despite consulting with my wife about what to put up, I had to choose the right one, as I did choosing her. 

Seeing where our family and friends have come from and what has become is something to treasure. An even like this obliterates any unnecessary stresses from your life. The only things that matter become emphasized and the confidence to move forward towards your goal and love becomes all the more prevalent. 

We are thankful for all the speeches given from our friends and family. My Dad in particular wrote a simple and loving speech that brought tears and emotion from everyone. Although the translation helped lighten the language barrier, everyone could feel what was being said and understood what was meant by today. Friends and family together for this celebration. We are thankful. 

We got officially married at the local council 2 years ago to this day and finally able to have the best wedding we could ask for. 

The day was a dream with the one I love.
