Spot of "Comic relief."?
Plus a grumble.
Well! Why not?
We were up at Crummock water for a look at Rannerdale Knot Bluebells.
I didn't expect to complete the trip - I was correct - BUT - vastly enjoyed what I did do. Main account = Main Picture.
This account - otherwise.
I think I could really get a job with the O. G. N. = Online Grammar Nazis?
Many of us still speak Dialect, but few seem to bother about the grammar thereof.
The real beauty of our dialect?
Correct spelling is more phonetic than obligatory.
How so?
Well - if I see a "Lahl Dog" and "me Marra" sees a "Larl Dog" we each know exactly what the other has seen.
O K - Where does grammar enter the equation?
It sidles in thus:-
Each, again, knows what the other means - but -
What s/he has written is - "Lambs ont Road."
What s/he actually means - "Lambs on t'Road."
Which translated into English reads - "Lambs on the Road."
Whereas the other, in English remains - "Lambs ont Road."
Oh?!?
The grumble - same old same old - raging idiocy!!
You're on a Fell side, liberally strewn with both Sheep and Sheep "Dottles"
As a responsible (HO HO HO) Dog owner you gather up your "Doggy do-dos", carefully bag them and then leave them lying by the path.
Two visible in shot, (one "green", CHUCKLE CHUCKLE) another 1/2 way up the Track.
Pardon my internet French - BUT - WHY F. S. S. don't you EITHER take it home OR not bother with the Bag and just move it off the track?
Which, let's face it is MORE than the Sheep do and you avoid them.
