Fuller's Pyramid
A client of mine is currently restoring the Pyramid in the village of Brightling.
'Mad' Jack Fuller was a local businessman and MP who built the Pyramid in 1811. He died in 1834 and rumour has it that he sits inside the Pyramid with a bottle of wine. He is actually buried beneath, but the story suits his eccentric life.
The Pyramid has been wearing clothes of hessian and black plastic while the lime mortar hardens. Today, with the weather at last improving, the coverings are being removed.
