Elephant Rocks Rock
Today was a long driving day. We farewelled Ninniex, the Driver and Saffie this morning and headed South. We stopped to see the Tingle trees at Valley of the Giants tree top walk. This is a raised platform (first extra) where you can walk around the forest. The red tingles there are amazing. Huge trees and ancient. They often have holes in the bottom caused by fungus, insects and then burnt in fires. See second extra.
It was then on to Albany where we are staying tonight but before we got to Albany we detoured off to see Elephant rocks (main). Huge bolders which at a stretch of the imagination could be elephants lumbering along. I have done a pan of the rocks (third extra).
The last is the heart of the milky way which I took at Yallingup last night. I have been scouting places for tonight but there are clouds so I might give it a miss. Another full on day for tomorrow.
