Built on high
MrM has hired a Luton van for a few days to fetch the rest of the stuff from his workshop in Wooler, benches and the like, too big and heavy for our smaller vehicle. He set off mid-morning.
I continued unpacking boxes - there are still a lot to go at! Walked in to Holmfirth mid-afternoon to take the old router to the PO for return to BT, then browsed around a couple of shops before walking back up the hill.
It'll take a while to get used to the 'townscape' on the way out of the town, of buildings towering high above on the hillside. Maybe it's my 'flat' Norfolk upbringing, but - I know some people find this hard to understand - I still find it a bit claustrophobic. Thankfully our new abode is quite high up, so no sense of that where we live!
MrM decided not to stay north overnight, and arrived home just before bedtime.
