Blue -tailed damselfly
I know, some people can have too many damsels. Not me, though. This one was at Park in the Past, Hope. Its 120 acres of woodland and wetland and includes a 25 acre lake and a half built Roman Fort.
The building of the Roman fort is one of the main objectives of Park in the Past and is a mere one day's march from Chester, aka, in Roman times, Deva Victrix.
Work is well underway and the Fort's taking shape. The vision is to develop a sustainable place for nature and family activities.
Lots of wild flowers, butterflies, damsels, ducks and birds today. Glimpses of a Demoiselle and Willow warbler. Will certainly visit again, but unlikely to trust the website. It opened at 11am, not 10 am as stated on the website.
