Brave Harp

I'm very open with the children so I let Harp know this morning that when she saw the doctor,  he would be putting a little needle in her arm.
When I collected her at nursery,  I put the magic numbing cream on both her arms and her hand. I wasn't sure where she would be getting bloods taken from. So she was bandaged up so the cream could do its magic.

The doctor is great with kids. He checked her all over. Is doing a load of blood work. ( he said she's looking quite pale ). He Had a look at some of her bruises. And checked out her chest. He said it's sunken quite deeply so will be referring her to paediatrics and for a chest x-ray.  He said it could be pectus excavatum,  and normally if children have it they are born with it. He said its not common and he hasn't seen many cases . Harp was so brave and cried for a minute getting her bloods but was fine after.  She got a donut for a treat and then we went straight to dalscone for a play.

The boys were happy as some of their school friends came too.

Thanks for all your well wishes for Harp. We should have some blood results by Monday.

I'm not long through the front door and have quite a lot to do. I'll sprinkle star's and comments when I can.
