Begorrah!!

A busy day!

This morning mrsfb had an appointment with a consultant about her glaucoma and general eye health. We had to go privately as there is now a huge NHS backlog. The consultant had a different view to the previous doctors and optometrists we had seen and thought the glaucoma was not as well under control as we had been led to believe. He prescribed some different eye drops. Because it was a private prescription the cost was £100!  She goes back again next month to see if they have helped. If not surgery may be required.

In the afternoon we have been dealing with the gardener. We didn't agree about the best way to deal with the new lavender. I let him do things his way, I hope he is right.

Then we had the best news of the day. We had a video call with daughter#2 (via WhatsApp on my phone as our broadband went down again, it is back now). Her Irish citizenship application via the Foreign Birth Register has been accepted. Begorrah! She is now an EU citizen again!

In between we had a wander down to the town. I was hoping to get some squirrel shots, but ended up with these bluebells in the churchyard.
