Heygate Estate

Over 1.7 million households in the UK are currently waiting for council housing... Meanwhile 1300 council homes here in the Heygate are being flattened by developers to be replaced by new city dwellings for private profit.

We should all have the right to affordable housing in order to sustain.

The Heygate Estate in Elephant & Castle is an interesting place to wander around, a huge housing development that's completely empty and derelict, pending its imminent demolition and the subsequent gentrification of the area. And a huge amount of walls for graffiti. I've also seen people doing photoshoots, parkour, filming videos, there's a community garden, and a church (which is still in use).
