A new member of the family

Poppy arrived five days ago from Shropshire - a long car ride away but she survived the journey very well and is now settling in with the children and an older Labrador.  She is very playful and loves people already.

A very sunny and warm day, lots of gardening, and I heard the cuckoo!  I first heard it this year a few weeks ago in France so now the bird has flown further north.

The extra photo is of an unusual looking caterpillar - does anyone know what it is??
