Men in bowler hats

Today we took the Ullswater Steamer to Pooley bridge  ( shame it’s no longer powered by steam).

Monty had a meltdown walking along the Pier as he doesn’t like to see water underneath him, we finally managed to get him on board much to the amusement of the other passengers.

After stopping at the waterfront for coffee we came across these magnificent beasts outside the Crown Inn.

We had a lovely walk around the village and along the side of the lake before returning to the Crown for some lunch.

A person can’t visit Pooley bridge without visiting the Chestnut House to sample one of their 400 Gins.

Time to head back to the steamer and a repeat performance from Monty.

Back at Phoebe in time to see Woody Woodpecker dropping by for a snack.See extra
