Appian Way

Metro to Colosseum then 118 bus.
Thick drizzle so we took a tour of the catacombs of St Sebastian.
Then a lovely (dry) walk along the Appian Way, and back through wildflower meadows, with panoramic views of Rome.
Bus down to the city for ice cream, then a walk and metro to hotel.
