A new view

I was booted out of my old office with only a month’s notice (a sudden power-grab by a territorial bureaucrat in my section) and for a while it looked as if I’d have to share an office with two other people. In the end, though, I got my own room — no view of its own, but with an under-used, always-unlocked seminar room across the hall that has this lovely western-facing view. So any time I want to, I can go take a look. Sunsets on winter afternoons should be especially beautiful.
