Lazy Memorial Day

My first blip!

After spending several months reading dad's blips (and probably contributing 90% of his views when I am bored at work and wondering if he has updated his journal) I have decided to sign up and start my own. Not sure how long it will last or how often I will post but this handy iPhone app means I can upload the pics I take (which are usually only done with the phone) in a jiffy!

So today is Memorial Day (think Remembrance Sunday in UK). But the yanks have it right where y you actually get a day off to remember. Also officially the start of the summer (although pretty much summer 24/7 here in San Diego).

Started the day by working....in the lab setting things up for the week ahead. Had no better offers and will help me get my work done quicker for the rest of the week.

After 5 hours got the job done and off to the gym. Seems like everyone else had the same idea and it was packed. Even on a hot and sunny day like today.

Followed this with lunch back home and getting my document straight for impending green card medical tomorrow. Hope it's not too expensive....

Lazy afternoon evening as depicted by our dog babe in her usual relaxed position on the couch. Take out pizza (junk food weekend) with trashy TV tonight. Then back to the grindstone for the week ahead.
