Trapani, Sicily

Still smiling despite the imminent threat of pouring rain and thunderstorms!

Trapani is a charming place, built on salt and tuna exports, and still unspoiled by tourists.  We spent a few pleasant hours wandering the dense network of alleys in the old part of the town, enjoying the atmosphere, the beautiful cathedral of San Lorenzo, a maritime museum, and an especially delicious pistachio gelato cone!
