Raven ( I think)

This big black bird was watching carefully as we ate our sandwiches above Buttermere *. It collected a couple of crusts but showed no sign of interacting with us.
They always seem rather sinister birds to me - but perhaps that's not fair.

* You can just see the village in this shot but the lake is Crummock.
