Paupers’ Corner.
We went on a guided walk of the Victorian cemetery in Marlborough this afternoon. It was a fascinating experience with a very knowledgeable archaeologist.
One of the many interesting things she explained was about this area of the cemetery where at least 800 individuals were buried. The sign says that they were unknown, but the parish records do have people’s names and dates of birth and death.
