Point Roberts is a small enclave of the USA, attached entirely to Canada. There are a few hundred American residents who must drive through Canada in order to get to any other American location.
Most properties are vacation cabins owned by Canadians. These are a few that are built right on the beach and are subject to damage from winter storms.
