Ale tasting

It was a glorious day today for the Alcester Food Festival. I walked down and met a friend there. We had predicted lots of stalls selling cakes and fudge and other unhealthy things, but there were some pleasant surprises too. We bought good cheese and bread and tasted some  delicious food.
The photo shows members of the Alcester Court Leet carrying out their inspection of ales bread meat etc. All a bit bonkers now really, but very important about 700 years ago.
