First allotment rose of the year

This rose is from a rambler that we moved from the garden to the allotment as it needed more sun. Now it wanders over the shed & daily basks in the sunlight. Every now & again, Gavin brings me a rose that is all the sweeter for being home grown.

The glass the rose is in was once a Boyne Valley honey jar, a little memory of my childhood in Wexford :)
