Floating habitat
We had a busy morning, with a trip over to the storage facility for various things to take to Tain next weekend and then a visit from a plumber about one of our toilets that has one of the many "Persimmon problems" that we still encounter. This was followed by a walk down to the market to gain baked goods and a pause in our lives to drink coffee and watch people. Later on, I made a trip to the recycling centre with various things to be disposed of (I generally think we should do more decluttering) but decided there was no need to do any replanting of the things that should be taken up to Tain next weekend. We can simply lift a few pots off the balcony railing.
On the walk down the Water of Leith, we had a look at these new "habitats" which have been put in place this week, as the first step in the rehabilitation of Coalie Park. I am one of the many hundreds of people who answered the survey questionnaire and asked for more biodiversity and these are supposed to help that. I do hope they don't float away in the first high water / flood.
I've added some funky reflections of other bits of Coalie Park in the extras.
