San Roque

Mr P and I thought we should explore other nearby towns, so today we set off early in the morning for Oliva. Our trip did not start well as we traipsed across the city to the bus station, only to find out that the bus left from the railway station next to our flat (apparently it also has a bus stop). Thankfully they booked us on to a later bus free of charge and it gave us time to have a walk in the Turia gardens and breakfast.
Oliva turned out to be a lovely town with a beautiful historic centre. We walked down to the beach (40 mins from the town centre) and enjoyed a much warmer swim than the north of Spain. Although the beach was not half as nice as Valencia’s. After a late lunch and more wandering around the old town, we headed back to Valencia on the bus.
