First Poppies of the Season

They prefer to grow in the garlic bed, even though I scatter handsful of seeds absolutely everywhere else in the garden every year.

Today: laundry, a walk, some lovely sitting time in the garden, a delicious dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant, and a nice glass of red wine. Life is good.
