Petanque Medals

Who knew the game of petanque could be so exciting! I was on duty from 12:30 today but ended up starting way earlier as my host dropped me off.  It was very sunny and I was in a team of 3 who were allocated the petanque finals, beach volley and the medal ceremonies for table tennis, petanque, beach volley & shooting.

We got some great shots but you can't beat a good medal ceremony!  It was a bit of a manic day, as always you also need to download, edit, name and upload the day's photo's and i was back on shift for the evening gala dinner.  I finished around 5:10pm, grabbed a quick shower on-site and headed straight to the dinner where our remit was to capture the guests arriving and the festivities up to around 10pm and upload slides to run on an overhead projector.  Stressful times but we managed it.

Taxi back to Viborg and a bottle of wine later we were in bed around 3am and up at 6am for the bus to the airport.

It's been the most fantastic week.  2000+ persons participating, hosting, officiating, photographing, organizing and enjoying the companies 2023 Olympic event.  Roll on 2027!
