All the Love in the World...
Another day in paradise.
Today, we took a bus tour. When the alarm went off at 7 I was a bit sad.
But I climbed out of bed, and dressed and we headed to breakfast. As is becoming Normal, Katerina greeted us with "Kallemera" and waited for our awfully pronounced response. She would throw her head back and laugh loudly at our attempts.
We went back to the room and collected our stuff and headed out. I want to let you know at this point the trip to our room from the restaurant, involves leaving the main building walking 200 yards, accessing a Funicular, and riding the side of the hill upwards to our destination. We walk past the Hill Top restaurant and a further 200 yards to the next lift, which takes us up another level. A low-level flight of stairs and then round the corner and a short walk to our room.
This is why breakfast is allowed to be filling and excessive.
Our bus tour was taking us to the other side of the island, to visit, monasterys, hill sides, Mussolini's Villa, Olive Growers, Honey Growers, a greek restaurant, and Swiss Style sister hotels sat high up a hill.
It was a very lovely day. I love sitting on a bus with Himself. We talk non-stop (well i do) and I poke him constantly to point out interesting things, Like the bad dress the woman was wearing from that hotel. The size of that man's arse, and the like. (see extra)
We stopped at a lovely hillside tourist trap where they graciously allowed us to try 7 different wines, donkey cream, honey, nuts. And there was just sufficient wine poured down our throats for us to buy equivalent portions.
(donkey cream made from Donkey milk - I bought some for my feet) And the nuts, and the wine and the ouzo.
When we got back we were exhausted and had to have a drink to wake ourselves up.
We were eating out tonight..... the hotel has an a la carte restaurant, you have to book in advance - there is limited availability. This is the view of the hotel - and this is HALF WAY to our room. Pa ha ha ha
We are soooo far away.
