Wolseley Bridge

We traveled down to our first stop in our holiday, a campsite on the edge of Cannock Chase where we stayed last November. We arrived early enough to pop out to the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Centre at Wolseley Bridge,

So pleased we did! The male and female kingfishers were both flying in and out of their nest and posing well for the hoards of photographers.

Don't worry about us being in danger of disturbing nesting birds, we were well away, unlike the paddle boarders on the Trent!

I was also excited to see a common tern, something we never see at home,
