The tortoises are gardening, or rather knocking over pots and getting stuck in them, including the watering can. In the pot on the left, a female is trying to escape the unwanted attentions of a male, who is controlling her with sideswipes to the shell and nipping of legs. Tortoise sex is not romantic.
