Peony Heaven!

One of my dear friends who was unable to come to the party on Saturday sent me some peonies in the post which arrived on Thursday.  They have slowly but surely been coming out a bit more every day and now some of them are fully open.  This is one of them and the scent is divine! 

We took my sister Susie to Bristol Airport this morning for her flight back to France which meant getting up at 4.30am and leaving the house at 5.00am!  As always before an early start, none of us slept much and now I think all the fun of the weekend has caught up with us and we shall most likely be in bed quite early this evening.
