Coney's Castle
We had a quiet Sunday, spending the day visiting less busy attractions. We walked around a couple of the hill forts and had a picnic lunch here at Coney's Castle. The fort dates back to the Iron Age and the trees growing on the ramparts are ancient. Some of them have suffered damage in recent storms.
I couldn't resist the extra, it's the dunny at Chettle. Some comforts have to be set aside when visiting rural Dorset, although in fact it is a proper flushing WC and not a rather more primitive arrangement.
