Dear Diary

Late morning walk with Rufus produced the only photo I took today, of a neighbour's dwelling and tractor that I have photographed before.  A quiet afternoon that included a nap after yet another poor night's sleep.  Then a late dental appointment at 18.00 which took care of the next two hours. The process was painful, but now I have a break as the next appointment isn't until Thursday.

Back home and Rufus, who I'd left on my balcony with neighbours keeping an eye on him, was so ecstatic that I'd come back that he tiddled himself again. he's doing it every time I leave him and every time I come back, but  I can't be angry - who knows what abandonment issues this darling woofer endured in his short life before I adopted him from the council shelter a month ago. He has to learn though that sometimes, I have to go somewhere that he can't come with, but I will come back.  Anyway,  we then had an enjoyable evening stroll together, when his trotting like a show pony with curly tail held high must always make me laugh, and now we're both back home quietly contemplating life, the universe and everything with Harry, Nelson and Cleo (see yesterday).  Actually, they're all sparko.  I think I'm the only philosopher who's currently conscious. .
