Gnome not-so-sweet gnome!

I’m not really one for gnomes but when I saw this one about twenty-five years ago, I knew I had to have it!

Good day as far as my lessons went, including two where Year 8s got to investigate combustion by burning stuff - always great fun!

I told the school that I’d changed my mind about accepting the job - I can’t spend every day sitting by the phone at 7am wondering if I’ll get a call. They then offered me full-time cover supervisor, with supply teaching on any days that are needed. I’m thinking about it. Had a long chat afterwards with the head of science, culminating in her suggesting I go for the food tech teacher vacancy, which was a little disconcerting as I thought we were discussing science roles? Definitely not thinking about that! And the headteacher popped in to see if I was OK.

We had really horrible neighbours where we used to live and my gnome’s bare bum was permanently pointed in their direction. I’m not aiming it at anyone in particular now, just life in general!
