mulie vs cow elk. Early morning walk (pre-dawn) by the river to see if any beavers were about as I've seen evidence of new beaver activity lately. No beavers but I did see a group of mule deer and a pair of cow elk. On the way home I stopped to snap these bull elk (scroll down) in velvet. EDIT: the bull elk are still hanging out in the meadow off Central (SR260) in Eagar this afternoon at 15:30.
