Red Campion

Silene dioica

Today I knew I wanted some red campion in my journal.  I did get some almost by accident as the camera and I walked down Nuns' Road towards the park.  I thought it was a very pretty arrangement and almost stopped there, but I'm glad I went on for this huge swash of them, found in Claustentum Fen.  They are such happy flowers ;))

What else about today.  Well, the usual.  More gardening - and my new plants arrived - plus a visit to the chemist for prescriptions which (you've guessed it) won't be ready until Thursday!  At least we now know the shop will be changing hands, so perhaps there is some hope!
