BROLLIES

I had a few errands to do in Durham today but sadly no time to have much of a wander, so here's a view along one of the less picturesque shopping lanes. It was actually warmer and brighter than it looks here.
One of my errands was taking two shelves-worth of old Pelican books to the Oxfam bookshop. That was as much as I could carry in one load and I got my daily aerobic workout lugging them up two steep flights of old stone steps from the car park to the shop. I was completely breathless and voiceless by the time I got them there.
Extra is an enigmatic sign I spotted near the exit to the floor on the multi-storey where I parked. I wonder what the story is.
