Roseberry Topping
Backblip
We had a long weekend booked off to head back down to Yorkshire and bascially see lots of people that we haven't caught up with in a while. For day one, I arranged to meet the Warrior Women and go for a wander up Roseberry Topping. The weather was looking glorious, and we fueled up at Cross Lanes Organic farm with some pancakes and veggie breakfast (well worth a stop if you're on the A66), but then the mist and low cloud hit when we reached the A1.
The Warrior Women are not to be put off by a bit of cloud though, I suggested doing the walk in reverse as optimisically the cloud might clear by the time we got to the top of the topping, but we didn't have that luck. We missed the views but the excellent company more than made up for it, and we got a brief interlude where we could see the top.
Afterwards, we had cake at the G and Teahouse and couldn't decide what to have, so we ordered a slice of everything and split it all in four which was the best decision. Homeward, we picked up a Shama in Bingley and went to mum and dad's which will be our base for the next few days. Grand to be back in yorkshire for a bit!
