Mechanical
Last year our youngest niece broke her ankle, the week that she was moving into a new house in a completely new village. A wheelchair was an essential for getting herself around, including to the local pub. A good way of meeting the rest of the village. Wheelchair + young lady + new puppy (a Rottweiler, she’s always wanted a big dog) = a lot of breaking the ice and conversation.
We’ve inherited the wheelchair this year. It’s now essential for us, helping get J to and from the hospital. Yesterday afternoon we tried it out on J’s first non hospital wheelchair trip - around the gardens and buttercup fields at RHS Bridgewater. That went well, so it’s onwards and upwards hopefully.
