Dundas survey
Out to swim first; back by Fettes Row, where this theodolite was set up. There's another one just to the right of the man in yellow. See #dundassite tag for previous blips of the site.
Afternoon visit with a friend to East Queen Street Gardens. We puzzled over one particular tree which turns out to be a large hornbeam (using Google Lens on a leaf picture).
The AGM for the gardens was in the early evening; that caused us to dig up the Local Act of Parliament which enabled the establishment of the gardens. Cap xxviii, 15 May 1822 as a search term in UK legislation finds a pdf. Extra is the garden showing a patch of unfinished fence painting.
