first rose

Our first one this year - just a bud yesterday morning, and by lunchtime today a golden beauty. Another lovely day weatherwise - more planting done and some weeding too. When it got too hot I worked on my painting inside. Today involved using frog tape to get a straight horizon. Not sure if that’s how you’re supposed to do it but it worked so that’s ok.
