Chimaera

I passed this curious and pretty shrub as I wandered through the Botanic Gardens to my drawing class this morning. At first I thought it must be two separate plants as some of the flowers were yellow and some a coral pink colour, but there was only one trunk. The Glasgow Tree Lovers’ Society sign solved the mystery for me.
Plant name : Laburnocytisus ‘Adamii’
A graft chimaera of Laburnum and broom first created near Paris in 1825.
