A bit disappointed

We biked to the medival Akershus Fortress in Oslo harbour to get a good place to watch the world’s largest warship and aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford, which arrived in Oslo today. It passed above the German warship Blücher which was sunk in the fjord not far away from the city on April 9th 1940, on it’s way to attack the city. Many had expected USS Gerald Ford would go to dock by the old fortress. We were not the only ones who went there to look at the ship. Not the only ones who were disappointed USS Gerald R Ford was not to see there either. It to was to deep to dock at the place. It had anchored behind an island farther out in the harbour where we could not see it. A lot of activities in the harbour though. 4500 crew members and officers will be brought ashore to see the city. A lot of security at the harbour, around the ship as well as in the air above the ship is established. The ship will stay here some days. Good to see it here. Hope it gives some serious signals to Russia.
