Geep in the snow.

Today saw the fledging of the final Giant Petrel from my study plot. In a way it's sad to see them go but they've had a pretty successful year so best of luck to them.

There's still a good number of adult birds around though and while most were riding out a short blizzard today with their heads tucked deep in their feathers this individual was looking round as if checking out the snowflakes.
