Above Peebles

The weather didn't look too promising, with rain forecast for the afternoon, but it was our club walk so off we went.

After a short break for coffee in Peebles, we started on an eight mile circular walk taking in part of the Glentress Forest, Kittlegairy Hill and towards Whitfold Hill where we turned and walked down the hill passing Venlaw Castle (which is now a hotel), and back down to Peebles.

We were very lucky, as not only did it not rain, but we also had intermittent sunshine. It was warm, and we sweated going up the hill, I can tell you.

Had some time in Peebles, and we headed for drinks in the Park Hotel and had such a lovely time that we forgot to go to the Pie Shop!!!!!
